Deanna Elder – Watercolor Artist

Ever since I can remember, I have had a deep love for art and a natural talent for drawing. Growing up, I would spend hours with a pencil in hand, letting my imagination take shape on paper. Encouraged by my family to express myself through art, the passion for creativity blossomed.

As a teenager, my forever dream was to become a Disney animator.  I was inspired by Disney’s magical world and the hours of fun and happiness each character and story imparted on us as children and adults. However, the practicalities of relocating to Florida and being far away from my family didn’t align with the vision. Determined to support myself while staying close to home, I made the grown-up decision to venture into the corporate world.

Despite grown-up professional pursuits, I never let go of my artistic spirit. I keep paints and pencils nearby, finding solace and inspiration in doodling during meetings and creating art late into the night after work. It is during these moments that I truly feel alive, allowing creativity to flow freely.

My artistic journey is fueled by passion for creativity. I am driven by a desire to share this enthusiasm for art with anyone I meet as I believe that art has the power to ignite joy and inspire others. My artwork is a reflection of my vibrant personality and ability to infuse life into every stroke of the brush.

Today, I am known for smile evoking watercolor paintings, pattern designs, and whimsical illustrations. This work is a testament to my dedication, talent, and the lifelong pursuit of artistic dreams.
